But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Speaking of ages, I'm 15 now.
*spit-take*
Good god, how many times to I need to tell you guys? It's been mentioned at least 9 times by now.
It's still shocking to me.

You're so young. >.< When I was fifteen, I hadn't done ANY drugs at all yet. And I was still a virgin. And I was still in high school, and I had friends, and I had zero confidence/self-esteem/etc, and all I did was play video games.
So much was better back then.
So how old are you now? Because most of those still apply to me <_<;

I'm only twenty, but still!

Indeed. If this were ancient times, we'd be halfway to the grave already.

As it is, we're only about one third to one fourth of the way there. :D

My attempt at being however so slightly socially outgoing in my weekly excursion to FNM has gone smoothly. Though at the end of it all I still feel that these ventures only validate the beliefs I have of myself.

I wish I didn't feel estranged from the rest of society. I go out to do things, and while meeting people is nice, I'm constantly worried that I'm brushing against some social faux pas. Conversations are always shallow and short, and I'm concerned that others can see that I feel inadequate to them.

I have new sunglasses that others say look very good on me, but I enjoy wearing them because they cover up how sad my eyes look.

I try to imagine myself as a person who isn't lonely, and I just can't picture how that world would look, that thought is simply too alien to conceive. I simply feel I live, but I don't belong. That attempts to change this is merely trampling on the natural order of things, and thus doomed to failure. Am I destined to be like this?

Maybe it's the place you live? A change of scenery and new people might help you open up a bit.
