Why did I take a several mile mountain hike that was straight up one way and thus straight down the other.

If only I could transfer all my leg muscle upwards. I would be such a strong dude.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Portland area has a very good system in my opinion. Can't really get much better than it, actually.
Winnipeg also has a bus system that can get you basically anywhere in the city for about 2$ (Some drivers take the transfer when you get on your second bus, but most don't)

That's exactly how the bus here works, but the drivers always take the transfer pass~
In the Portland area, it's about $2.40 (1.50 for students) to get a 2-hour pass, which can be used on anything that Trimet runs (except the LIFT for the disabled). It's really convenient when you need to take a bus to a station, train to another station, then a bus from that station.

Over here in Noord-Brabant (a Dutch province), it's 3 euros for a day card for the buses, though it has to be past 9 in the morning if you want to buy one. Still, 3 euros for a whole day isn't much at all. It's allegedly more expensive in other areas though and you can't use it on the train.

Really hating the legal technicalities of Fraud Law, and the inability to get around some of them.... Pretty sure client's moral outrage will blind them to these barriers to legal recovery and induce them to blame me.

Moral of the Story: Get it in writing whenever you deal in or around conveyance of real estate and pay a lawyer to draft a contract....

It seems that they're not coming, some because they were too stupid to ask about the time until 1 hour before it was supposed to start (and I don't check my email every two minutes), Hazelnut because she has another engagement that got rescheduled and she can't move.

Too bad I already dressed up, set the table, washed the tea set my grandmother gave me for graduating high school (and have never used, since I didn't have friends to drink tea with), set out candy we bought in Russia (again, especially to be given to then-nonextant friends I hoped to make in the fall), and have all but finished cooking dinner.  Seriously, there's nothing left but throwing the noodles in the boiling water, and waiting for the sauce to finish.

I guess I'll just have to eat it myself.  Maybe I'll offer it to my roommates: I'm not very hungry.

At least I have more time to study this evening.

I remember the people I used to hang out with were extremely sloppy about times and dates. Which could be kind of funny because I'd usually arrive somewhere five minutes early, and everyone else would be 10-15 minutes late. I also got stood up a couple of times because I said "Hey, want to do X after school on Friday?" On Monday, then when Friday came along they'd forgotten about it and gone off to do something else.

My father once gave me the advice that I should never trust anyone else to organize anything that I wanted to get done, and you should always set a time as far ahead as possible, and make sure you remind people about it so they know they're doing it.
A lot of people (at least when they're young) can be very unreliable about these things.

I admit to being one of those people.  I'm very, very casual about things.  The way I see it, a social event shouldn't be a source of stress.  So I won't stand people up or anything, but I'm not hardcore about being punctual... unless the event is time-sensitive like catching a movie showing or something.

Supposedly, this is very common with INFPs.

I don't mind people showing up 15 minutes late, it's just when they forget about it and show up an hour late or not at all.

I've noticed that when I call people 2 hours beforehand one out of three times their response is, "Oh shit, I've got to have a shower."
... Which is why I call them 2 hours beforehand.

Spontaneous scheduling has always worked better for me.

"Hey let's do this guys RIGHT NOW."
"Okay."
