I'm having a similar problem.  I'm kind of trying to juggle and finish (well it's more like 'experience' as I play/read/watch) everything I'm doing but at the same time HEY LOOK ASSIGNMENTS.  Oh well.  No me gusta la universidad.

It must be especially frustrating if most of your assignments come from your "how to deal with assignments" class.

Besides that, my computer science professor gave me homework to do that requires software that's only on the computers in that class.  Guess I'll have to pXXXXX some copies so I can actually do it at home...

Better to read it in some language other than English, though.  It's best in Japanese because a lot of the jokes make more sense when you're couched in that culture and mood (I've never found a translation of the Great Saiyaman arc in any language that kept mood intact), but I've also read through in French and it wasn't too bad.

Unfortunately I'm monoglot ignoring the odd useful phrase or word; Had enough problems learning to read and write my mother tongue and struggled to learn other languages shortly after. I'll still add it to my list of things to look into all the same. Am I right in saying it's at least loosely based on Journey to the West?

With Niven, the ancient ones, maybe. Back when he didn't make overt polytical proselitysm. Then again, maybe I was younger and did not notice it.

Pournelly I've always found preachy and nauseating, so I won't even grant him that much.

No, they've written more stuff together. Including a sequel to MitGE, and Escape from Hell 2 (as if the first one wasn't bad enough, with it's apologism of BENITO MUSSOLINI). In fact, it was the latter book which ended up revolting me today.

Should have avoided reading it. Should have kept reading Abercrombie's "the first law". But alas, I had to recharge the tablet (where I'm reading the first law), so I picked up my hanlin v6 in the meanwhile. And the selection I have in it ATM is not too good (or at least I did not feel in the mood to search. E-ink is slowwww)

On the other hand, it's nice to know that I've developed enough personality to have a sense of taste at this point.  That feels pretty good.

Bah, sorry.  I thought you were Olemars or another one of the Scandinavian folks for some reason =/  My mistake.

The first two books are fairly tightly based on Journey to the West, while the rest is a vehicle for

a. disturbing amounts of violence
b. making fun of Japanese tokusatsu ("special force," like Power Rangers) shows and old kung fu flicks
c. lessons on how not to rear children
d. drawings of buffets
e. humanoids eating other humanoids
f. aliens with volcano-ears
g. Super Saiyan bargain sales

and, uh, lots more.

Time to write up the lab report for Physics. I'm no good at lab reports.

There's never enough time during the weekends. There will never be enough time. I also didn't get enough time sleeping last night. Or, rather, this morning.

EDIT: No lab report for now. I'm going to read now. Both of my books are overdue, which really sucks. I wish I could find my library card...

My calves have been causing big trouble for me when I'm doing Cross Country.
I made 3rd to last place because I couldn't run when it came to running up hill. The people behind me just lack any motivation, and walk most of the way. They were about ~3 minutes behind me.
I'm getting a check-up on my calves tomorrow. Hopefully it's nothing bad.

I just had a generally shit day =/ My feet are burning, my neck is sore (No, I do not have a clue as to why that happened) and I lost some of my stuff.

 My legs are really killing me tonight. The pain seems to be focused in the muscles right nest to the shinbones, so I suspect shinsplints. Never had it like this before, or being this painful when at rest. Like stretching a sore muscle that just cramped, but all the time.

This game actually made me cry. Yes, it's an art game, I don't care, they can be very, very good. This one hit me really hard, because I'm afraid of the future, of love and loss and all that jazz, especially after a very recent slap to the reality I experienced.
