Something tells me you missed MoM telling everybody about her past.

I don't mean to be rude or prying, but where is this post? I've always been concerned about MoM, and I can't believe I missed her opening up a little during my hiatus.

It's somewhere in this thread. Good luck finding it. IIRC it's a rather large post.

To say it is pretty sad would be a colossal understatement.

Dang. Two weeks is a long time to wait for someone to come back, especially when I have no idea what happened. Would someone who knows mind shooting me a PM?

I think I'll miss ein's presence~

(I am ambivalent about tildes.)
Would anyone mind sending me one as well?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Basically a really long discussion about porn and the varied laws relating to it.

Get a degree then fake your death and move to Ukraine.

That, or just skip the middleman and get a fake degree.

Man, I just got a terrifying email in my HuskyMail inbox.
Quote
I write to inform you that the UConn Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a University employee who was found unresponsive yesterday during his workday at the Storrs campus.  Nicholas Esposito, age 64, a power plant operator for the University with residence in Branford, Connecticut was found unresponsive at about 2:00 p.m. by co-workers.  UConn Police and UConn Fire/EMS personnel were notified and responded to the scene with paramedics from Windham Hospital. A short time later, Nicholas was pronounced dead.

UConn Police will be working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and circumstances of death.  The UConn Environmental Health and Safety Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) were notified and responded to investigate. At this time, foul play is not suspected.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Nicholas' family, friends and co-workers.

Not to be in bad taste, but man if there is a set-up murder while I'm at the building that will be craaaaaaaazy.

Okay, you're right.  I never stop being a creepy progressivist mathematician.  But that's okay!  That's what I'm here for.

I don't know what's wrong with me but lately I've been falling to sleep or at least having to fight sleep earlier than usual. I'm getting a lot less done and if I try and watch a film I will definitely succumb.

Dear German textbook:

Try this bullshit again and I am going to fucking light you on fire.  I cannot determine "agreement, pain, empathy, disgust, surprise, or admiration" from six interjections, just from rising and falling tones.

I hate you.  A lot.  Especially because I can't do this exercise and have to cheat by looking ahead at the segment that gives written context.

EDITED TO ADD: ON FUCKING FIRE BECAUSE YOU DECIDED THE HUMILIATION NEEDED TO KEEP GOING FOR ANOTHER EXERCISE AFTERWARDS
