I personally meant not funny as in just... Unfunny. Not offended or anything. It just feels like someone scrabbling and stretching for some sort of approval is at the other end.

A few people said comparing is bad, but I can't help it. I feel like a total slacker compared to others in my classroom. I'm worried of the upcoming midterms, and I think my grades are going to be unsalvagable. But I can't muster the energy to study more. What I'm supposed to study just repels me, and I can't be bothered to do it for multiple hours in a row. Heck, I'm barely studying for the arguably more important AP tests I have. Upon return from school, I tend to feel more towards doing lazy people things like games or programming rather than sit down at my desk and do study things.
I'll go ahead and say that forced studying is pretty bad and kinda self defeating. I'm also willing to bet there are other people around that prolly think the exact same thing. As pnx noted, having a study group helps, when you're not doing all the lifting when it comes to your roadblocks, and when you have someone else to look out for, you might find it more workable than well, opening your books and staring at the pages rather than the words.

Also, you may know more than you think you know. Got an exam I thought I flubbed today, since I had to write about a page's worth of stuff, and wrote it all in one paragraph almost stream of consciousness like, since I spent 20 minutes unable to organize things. Missed two mark for not mentioning a minor-ish detail and some spelling errors.

Not sure if I have too much more advice, plus since I think I know what material you're taking, I can't help much answering questions or anything.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I think it's an "If you didn't laugh you'd cry" type thing. If you feel like someone is sounding stupid, or not funny, don't all just gang up on them. That's a form of bullying, in essence. If it does't offend you, let it go. Understandable if it does offend you, but other wise you're just hurting feelings for no reason.

Also, I'll add in my opinion, because I think it may help balance out the, what was earlier called, "hatefest."
I personally believe it can be funny, simply because it does walk the line. If it makes me smile, I'm all for it.

And in regards to the test thing, I did a history GCSE exam and came out thinking I'd done terribly. I hadn't been given a teacher for the course, as I was on a different board, so I'd had to go into the library and teach myself. I like to read. There were a lot of distractions.

Got 100%

My face: :O
Especally given that these are really important exams.

It just feels like someone scrabbling and stretching for some sort of approval is at the other end.

This is seriously not chill at at all. I am not one to speak, of course, but saying such a thing about somebody in public is a:rude and b:slightly predatory. I mean, if you've noticed that somebody is"scrabbling for approval", is it really necessary to point it out? That's like, I dunno, stealing candy from kids. We all want people to approve of us, and the B12 community is...slightly intimidating in its general coolness. Like, everybody is trying very hard to be a nice and friendly person. So getting a hint of approval-hunger from somebody is normal.

WTF is with everybody today? This is even less chill than the stuff that goes on in the politics threads. I mean, duh. The last few pages are making me sad, which is on-topic and all, but why? Over a butt joke, not even directed at somebody else's butt? Pah.
