Aaaaaaaaargh.
I've been playing Megaman Battle Network 3 lately on an emulator, since I've recently discovered my GBA is busted (not that I played it much in the last few years, but anyhow). The games are pretty repetitive and boring plot-wise and sidequest-wise and a huge pain in the ass cutscene-wise, but I've always enjoyed the combat. So I figured hey, why not challenge myself to finish all the 'after the end boss' stuff? So I go hunt down all 200 regular chips and beat the main secret area boss. Then I go through all this boss rematch time trial stuff, which was even more painstaking because I had a limited chip folder with which to kill some tough cookies in under twenty or so seconds. I finally beat them all, plus some other side stuff, and see that next on the to-do list is collecting all 85 mega chips. Fine, I already have 70, can't take too long. So I spend an hour or two, check my progress, and see that I've got 81/85. Wicked! Only four more!
So I skim through my list, to see what I'm missing (as most of the mega chips are in sets of four). Oddly, all my sets are complete. A quick check against the full list of megachips and it appears that I actually do have them-- oh wait. The last four are from a boss in MMBN3 White. I'm playing MMBN3 Blue. The boss isn't in my game. If I want them, I have to trade with someone else who has them oh wait I can't because I'm playing on an emulator because my GBA is broken aaaaaaaaaaaa
