If a tendon has swollen, that could do it too.

Tendons can swell? Didn't know they were even live tissue.
Yeah, they're live tissue, connecting your muscles to your bones. They can be overstreched, infected, swolen, and snapped like most everything else.

Eh, next thing you'll be telling me is that if I stop giving this thing water for a week it stops working...

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

I'm sorry to say, but without water for only three days, and YOU won't be working.

Although there are recorded cases of people making it to a fourth day without water, but they tend to be extremely badass will-to-fucking-live above everything else types.

I'm being sarcastic. I am fully aware of my organic casing's operational parameters.

Mmm. My survival classes just taught me "Three days without water, Three weeks without (minimal) food, Three hours in extreme weather"

I honestly probably couldn't go about 30 hours without liquid of some kind. Remind me not to get lost in the desert.

Yeah, but if there's some people who can go four days, then the law of bell-curve states there's gotta be some people who'd survive one and a half.

Ye gods, the madness is setting in once more.
The apparitions appear as shades, fluttering amongst the peripherals of my vision; the figures, I know they are simply the product of the shadows, but they instill in me a fear so incredibly primal, and they only vanish once I am close enough to stare them in the face; the sounds, normal, mundane noises, but when experienced by an unsound mind, they create a most queer feeling of paranoia, as though something is there, watching, waiting, ready to attack at a moment's notice.
In my conscious mind, I know they aren't real, but something is preventing me from truly removing their presence, as though they really were there, and something seen only by myself.

Burn them with the fire of your soul. Harness the indomitable will of the human spirit and banish the phantasms.

Whateley didn't update today.

I also find myself responding to the world like a Pictures For Sad Children character.

I, too, am sad because of this.

also nice to meet a fellow reader.

it started out that way, but they've grown a beard, and not it's pretty much just mutant school fics, with quality ranging from superb, to blech, depending on author.
