Looking for a succession game location
« on: September 29, 2009, 04:13:13 pm »

I've rolled over a dozen worlds looking for a suitable location for a succession game, and so far no luck. Maybe someone with more experience at setting custom world parameters can help? Looking for the following:

Required
High Savagery, High Evil (ie Terrifying)
River (cave river preferred)
Magma Pipe
Region must be populated (I've found zones that were perfect, but upon embark, there were no units on the whole map)

Would be nice
Chasm or bottomless pit

Optional
Sand
Flux
"Other fun stuff"

Can anyone help? I basically just need a river/magma location that has lots of undead things kicking around. It's been harder than you might think to find.

How important is the existence of an elf civ? It'll be much easier to look if I don't have to worry about making a forest for the little buggers.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

This plus some parameter tweaking should net you a fine location.

Sometimes there is no units on the map upon embark.
Wait a few months and they should come storming in.

Not important at all.

Ah, that does indeed look great. But I'm on a mac so no .exe's for me. Thank you though.

This is a very good point!
