Bah.  Busy, but I'll answer your question, since it's math-related:

1. I didn't even know that branch of game theory existed, you jerk!  Now I have to go study it, on top of all my coursework.

2. Fluid dynamics seems appropriate in this case because it's heavily related to random particle motion.  I could also see approximating voting/aggression patterns as the interactions of whorls within a fluid, particularly if one were looking at them as flows down a narrowing stream over time (as players were knocked off).

... That may just be because I'm crazy, though.
