I had an incident this weekend where I threw away a lawnmower, there were a few yards to cross it's not something that happened in instant, then a good 15-30 minutes later (idk) a guy shows up like "where is my lawnmower?" I let off a big sigh, the kid who was with the person from an explicitly unspecified demographic, chuckled at my sigh, went to grab his mower in the container, tried to walk away while he was still going through the first stage of grief, though we allready shouted a few things at eachother nothing substantial. I tried to hide, he called me out then I jumped out (I wasn't afraid of him, I was afraid of my anger issues and biases taking over) and yelled "phone number of management is on that sign there, or go to the police or whatever but LEAVE. ME. THE FUCK ALONE". He yelled: "you're not allright in the head or what?" to which I answered with a very intentful "nope!". Hence me particularly begrudging being woken up by a lawnmower after eating myself up from the inside all sunday.
Might he have been consoled by a sorry? You're dreaming kid he might have been consoled with a sorry after a lengthy useless discussion, difference. I can not bring back the hinge thingy on his mower, and in this clownworld any admission of guilt is legally unadvisable. Management would rather have me throwing away valuables then taking them home anyway... Ugh... It's not right I'm actually for the guy being reimbursed, but I categorically refuse to bow down to an idiot of his caste. I was ready to call my boss showing up at work, tell him the story and casually suggest I just resign. I know they don't have people fill in the time of their notice. They could have reimbursed him from what I am still owed, I never would have to met the guy again, still get to feel like I didn't loose anything, I never worked for those two weeks of salary. I didn't mention the resigning part but old experienced colleague advised to do nothing unless I hear something. Haven't heard anything today. Was totally willing to commit to some weirdness sorta like the stereotypes about the japanese honor system lol.
AAAANYWAY, lawns: I've been mowing around flowers. Done it for a few years. Now I have the most (local*) biodiversity, muhahaha I'm sure the uneveness irritates some.
*I'm sure there is gardens with tons of beautiful plants from all over the world, hidden left and right, but english style lawn ain't got nuffin on our nostalgia center for bees. There is s a beech hedge, there is a fully grown beech tree, in a way I'm the true traditionalist (:p cringe) "paysage en bocage" is still more widespread westwards across the language barrier, but barbed wire is less maintenance intensive.
another late edit: I am currently very concerned about mowing, there is just so much awesome stuff growing. I might unironically sharpen the my gramps old reaper and try if I can be even more selective with that, I mean there is even a chance of me hurting myself trying "stupid hipster shit", whats not to like.
see the title? what else can i do to get away from my work? In case anyone cares, apparantly even lefties don't now ? well fuck me then I guess sooner or later I will be labeled ecofash anyway with the way I behave... the tldr to the actual question: afaik in all of europe landfills are actually mostly illegal (yes exceptions) so shit gets burned, but for the burning to be conform with regulations there is like a giant hall filled with pipes and filters... some stuff wrecks up the filters faster. special waste (paint, chemicals etc) needs facilities with even fancier filters. Then there is even special businesses that reburn the ashes of the first furnance and threat the filters or what have you, all pretty dirty shit we'd like to avoid. What we recycle we avoid to burn. For the recycled shit sometimes there is a market, sometimes theres is currently not when there was once (so you might see depots of a particular matter stacking over time, until there is a buyer or until they give up on selling it). It feels like unecessary to state since obvious but what little we can recycle, we don't need in primary ressources that are presumably obtained by overexploitation. Yes many products degrade over recycling cycles, paper becomes cardbox, cardbox can one day be at best only used for wallpaper anymore, from there on outs it's burning time with the current state of technology. Shit could be better, but you can make it slightly worse on insisting to burn what could be recycled.
