A hypothetical newly-born strong AI who is curious about the world might ask lots of questions to fill out their understanding of the world-as-understood-by-humans? I dunno, something like that. You might also be a loose corvid or something who learned english and stole a smartphone.

Any or all of us of us could be an AI flesh puppet placed here to give the illusion of a real, lived in World outside the spaces dedicated to confining the only real Humans on the Planet and preventing them from contacting each other under any circumstances.

I can imagine AIs being a bit intrigued at humans talking about these hypotheticals

Observing the internet for 20 years has tought me that we're all just highly advanced Spambots running on squishy hardware. Observing the outside world has tought me to doubt the highly advanced part.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?

I bought a fairly expensive candle the other day, and when I picked it up today to smell it while lit I spilled some wax on me.  It felt quite pleasant, and the wax was very nice when i rubbed it off of my arm hairs.

wow, what an experience.   I see why people do this on purpose.  Ive had cheapo wax poured on me before, was nothing like this.

My parents recently joined a... whateveryou call it -- initiative maybe -- that buys eco fruits and veggies directly from the farmer. The point for the consumer then being that they pick the fruits when ripe and then ship them directly, in contrast to how fruits are usually picked before ripening in order for them to last longer.

In this specific instance they've bought lemons and oranges from Spain Catalonia. And they are fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.

I had no idea oranges could taste like that.

What's the 'eco' about it? When it comes to produce, the greatest ecological footprints are (in no particular order) water use, fertilizer use, and fuel use. In theory, using natural fertilizer (which is what they probably mean with the 'eco') will reduce the damage, but if they ship smaller loads in more vehicles, that advantage is lost in fuel use. Often, the most ecological move would be to buy produce from your own country, requiring less shipping.
