Well, bring a friend, then. Or two. However many is appropriate. They can start counting when you run out of applicable appendages. If you don't have friends, drop some dosh and hire local hobos for a shin tooth counting spell. You're noodly enough to figure out a way forward on the quest to count the teeth.

SO I got back into playing Mahjong. I can't help but really like it, even if I get triggered and tilted by bad luck sometimes. I've even gone out of my way to read a whole book on correct play and strategy. Just got out of work this morning, and I start up a game, and just crush it. Right after, I get this sweet little message:

Or to put it clearly, I'm allowed to move from the baby kids table and go sit with the big boys now. Up to this point, your rank doesn't mean anything as you can never be demoted, but once you get into the Dan ranks, you can be demoted, but you're also on the road to eventually being even with the biggest and baddest Mahjong players, and this is the bottom-most tier that I'll have to start that upwards climb. Can't wait to get my shit shoved in by the frothing hordes of Rain Men that undoubtedly populate the upper ranks.

One cool thing to note about Tenhou.net, the site that I play on, is that it has a very demanding ranking system. The highest rank possible is "Tenhoui". The website was created in 2007, and it has since had millions of people playing on it, but only 13 people ever have made it to Tenhoui. If you look it up, it lists 14 people, but two of those are the same person.

In other news, I've got a jar of some very tasty illegal pickles.

I say "illegal", because the brine contains a nice assortment of dill (possibly tarragon as well? Maybe not), garlic, and spicy peppers... None of which is mentioned or even hinted at on the list of ingredients, meaning it's technically in conflict with Norwegian food laws.

As the "production ingredient" argument that gets used for some things in the US, 1) I'm not sure Norway even has the same exception, and 2) it's a little difficult to argue that garlic was "only used during production and does not contribute meaningfully to the content of the end product" when there are a couple fat cloves of garlic floating around in the brine and being generally awesome.
