I was being depressed as usual since I’m living with my parents, I’m beating myself up over not having enough to warrant being depressed, I’m getting very little payment from my job, I’ve been having problems with my sleep that have practically become routine now, I’ve been seeing too many therapists, one of whom is advising me to start a webcomic by Christmas for unrelated reasons, and I’m about to see the fourth one this week, and I’m about to go out the door, when my Dad looks at me, just as tured and depressed and I am, and says “Are you okay?”, I say “No.”, and he says “Are you sure you’re okay?”.
We stared at each other for a moment, before bursting into laughter. Made a marginal difference to a very shitty day.

I've got a single silver hair on either side of my chin now, bit by bit they will grow in and I'll be rocking a lush black beard with two silver streaks and that is awesome to look forward to.

It spins around slowly around the top, and at the end it sort of does an antiquated ring thing. Sometimes. Other times, it just pretends to and fizzles out wihtout ringing. I don't care. It's beautiful and I love it. This is my favorite thing about today.

I had an almost identical timer growing up. Did you get it second hand?

(The fizzle out may be because of the timer being to short. Sometimes if the time you want it to time is low you have to wind it up real proper then go back to the time you want)

That may be it! It's a first hand timer though; bought it from where I work. Still, it did strike me as discontinued beauty, so I am glad I grabbed it when I did.

If any of you aren't seeing Venom because of the 30% rotten tomato critics rating... I'd see it anyway.  I loved it, its like a buddy cop movie between a man and an alien.  Just be aware its got some gross out moments, but they're used appropriately and its not actually a gory movie.  Pretty funny too.
