Well, it wasn't exactly a symptom, but diabetes could have played a role - we tend to have less blood flow in our feet, and that might reduce the ability to fight off infections maybe?

But if your point is that it's not weird for a diabetes camp to be unable to help me with a toe infection, definitely true.

The latter. And yeah, the reduced blood flow is what I was getting at - if you mismanage your diabetes badly enough, that'll slowly start causing you to lose feeling in your toes. Good fun.

You mean the discharge feels good? Armok no. It itches and hurts like hell, constantly popping and burning. The no-more-pain is nice, I agree.

And do you think that women like getting pus on their pillows? Perhaps you mean in the archaic sense of "human", in which case cool!

My sister is diabetic, but I'm also fascinated by biology, medicine, and particularly anatomy. I know quite a bit about diabetes as a result (although not that much about the actual management part, which she's always handled exceptionally competently).

Ah, okay. The thing about diabetes is that there are the inevitable inexplicable highs, and especially for teenagers, hormones can throw a wrench in the whole system. And even if you can keep your BG under controls consistently, you might still get complications.

However, the statement "if you mismanage diabetes, complications will likely happen" is definitely true. It's just that the inverse isn't; it seemed like you thought that complications implied mismanagement. I probably misinterpreted your post anyway, so meh.

1. Does for me. Don't generally have painful sensation until later when I realise I have a rent in me somewhere. When it's actually flowing out, it's marvellous.

2. No, I make the assumption that all women are homeostatically infallible and also never poop. Hasn't steered me wrong yet.
