After 2.5 months of not getting much than a pip of response while looking for a new job, today I got 3 calls from 3 different places all offering the kind of job (warehouse/packaging/otherwise manual labor) I want.

I feel overwhelmed a bit... Certainly happy tho!

Good luck with choice.  :)

Happy day to the rest of you :D
I don't think we have this here... :'(
But hooray for these days being celebrated!
To follow this up, I did the thing of the theme of that day to an ol' highschool friend. It went well! :V Yay!

I don't know why this makes me so hilariously amused but i found out today that we have a nuclear shelter in our house...never had been in the cellar before (after all only moved in recently) so i didnt have an idea what we have down there.

Next Step: getting down there and removing all the trash and looking for cool stuff or what is left of it.

Ooh, going through old trash can be fun!  And hard work but sometimes you find neat old stuff.

Like moldy old wrappers and black widow spiders and murder/spider victims.

In one house we rented the owners had a neat collection of stones all nice and labelled. Unfortunately I couldn't snag them :v

Here in Finland, pretty much every public building and most apartment buildings have shelters. Having a shelter in a detached, one-family house would probably be called paranoid, though. They see very little use as there hasn't been a war in decades and natural disasters are extremely rare.

This time of year again.

I suppose I should post this here in the 'happy' thread. Too bad there's no 'meh' thread though.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Hasn't two or three meh threads sunk into the morass of GD? Pretty sure there's still at least one unlocked one loitering in the depths of pre-necromancy.

There are actually many of those, it's just that everyone went 'meh' on them and thus they disappeared back into the "meh" dimension from which they came.

Irregardless (sic), if you really feel 'meh' about something, then why would you even feel the need to tell about it? It's not like you have any obligation to do that, you know.

Hmm. If only you had said boobies, I could have cracked a joke about surgically attaching birds to one's breast.
