So y'all know I'm a Canuck.

And that I'm dating an American.

Well this week was Valentines day, and I came down to visit him. I dunno if I'd have been able to if it wasn't also coincidentally Reading Week for my university, but that just made it easier to do so.

So I got here in the morning of the 14th, and I got him a present the previous day. He made me one, a little polar bear made from recycled materials, like shirts. Es ist klein und süß~

I got him a giant honkin' moose. Like the size of a cat. Stuffed moose. Valentines moose. Perfect.

_{Unfortunately I lost my wallet on the bus-ride down, and didn't notice for a few hours. Hopefully I DID lose it on the bus and not, like, on the street somewhere. Also hopefully no one picked it up. Also hopefully the bus company finds it and can get it back to me.}

The elementary school I volunteer at is covered in little English and Arabic labels to help some new refugees learn to speak English.
Also I helped some kids make clay mountains for art class. It was fun.

Family visit over with only moderate anxiety, no freak outs! Even stayed an extra day, hiking and browsing good wills with mom. Now listening to hometown university radio on drive back.

Well I'm not literally driving now of course... Eating non-healthfood and relaxing in solitude while watching sun set. Feeling quite good.
