I just had the most awesome dream/dreams* I can remember having for a while.

I just gave away thousands of Magic cards. Feels good. The Friendly Local Game Store bundles lots of 200 cards for 5 bucks, so I'm hoping they won't bother to sort through the ones I gave them, since I slipped a few rares into the lot and it'd be nice if some kids got a pleasant surprise out of it. Also, I did terrible at a draft and left early because I need to be up for an 8 AM class, but it's okay because even though I lost every match I won a couple of games and all of them were satisfying, even the ones I lost. I can't play again until the next set is released, because of scheduling and financial reasons, but I'm happy I did it today instead of actually being productive >_>

I've basically given up on MTG, but I'm still capable of enjoying drafts because everyone is on even footing, there's plenty of strategy to building your deck, and it can be a fun introduction to a new series.  Plus (almost) all cards are potentially useable since everyone is using less-than-optimal cards.
