Also, did they really stop publishing Time? It would have to have been recent because I don't even recall them announcing they were stopping. Or is it a joke along the lines of "Time isn't a real magazine anymore"?
The latter. TIME nowadays features articles about pointless things that make me frown about the fate of humanity like their edition on "smart houses", about sensationalist stuff like rape on college campuses or the Ferugson shooting, or crapfest celebrity gossip (Taylor Swift appeared on the cover a couple months ago, for starters.)

The latter part of the magazine, "Culture", also makes me frown about popular culture--they fail to acknowledge the existence of non-pop musicians, they act like Scrabble adding "geocache" to their official dictionary is a bad thing, they fanboyed/girled over Frozen for a year and a half and acted like buying tickets for a hypothetical sequel would be a chore--the list goes on.

This comparison of covers sums it up pretty well.
Yeah, I also agree they've deteriorated. I just didn't understand why you singled them out because virtually all "news" media has been undergoing Buzzfeedification for the last few years.

I mean, "Buzzfeedification" isn't just in the sense of becoming clickbaity, but in the sense of covering Buzzfeedy content to appeal to the Buzzfeed demographic of college-aged women with intellectual superiority complexes.

I brought it up when they were talking about Game of Thrones and I had something relevant to GoT I'd heard in TIME.

It's kind of funny the spoiler thing comes up, because apparently, the writers are going to diverge from the books soon and start writing original plotlines instead.

At least, that's what I heard from TIME Magazine For Kids, the only TIME Magazine they distribute nowadays.

what

but george r.r. martin hates fanfiction

The ride never ends.

This "Chuck Tingle" fellow is some sort of random sentence generator/comedy genius, and Amazon probably has entirely the wrong ideas about my interests since I was logged in this whole time.
Alright, I finally lost my shit at Gay T-Rex Law Firm: Executive Boner...

Other honest-to-God titles include "I'm Gay for My Living Billionaire Jet Plane" and "Space Raptor Butt Invasion".

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I one-shotted a cyberdisc on XCOM today! Admittedly, it was new XCOM, but it was on classic difficulty(yes, I know it's really nothing like the original, which is why I've started playing the original, which has also made me tremendously happy because it is amazing!).

Dragons constitute a surprisingly large fraction of furry pornography.

Is it really furry if they don't have fur, though?
