After being immersed in academic English for a number of years now, my red lines from the auto-correct are increasingly from my vocabulary being larger than its, rather than from mistakes.

Well, mostly it seems to be from adverbs, which can get pretty long and, if you know the rules, you can actually just make up on the spot (though they're usually corroborated in one of the thicker dictionaries).

You can make up pretty much any part of speech on the spot, so long as it's based on a previously-existing word.

Hell, the word in English for each individual instance of that is itself an example, which is bonkers.

I guess you may want to use "legitly" instead, but yeah, what be in that comic works too.

English is the single language that is most spread around the world, and thus is the language that is easiest to play fast and loose with. Note my usage of "be" in the line above. It's not incorrect at all; you'll see it used colloquially in a variety of places.

English is also, despite what some people say, ludicrously simple. You can apply standard verb conjugation to a noun in order to verb said noun; for example, in this paragraph, I've verbed "verb" using every spelling of verb conjugations in English; when one verbs nouns, it's called "verbing". Of course, in that sentence, I only verbed "verb" using present perfect, present participle, infinitive and third person singular forms, but those four cover every single standard verb spelling.

I know, right?

Seriously, though, autocorrect has a deficit of the longer adverbs. Like maternalistically, or unimpeachably.

So, my performance in my presentation about chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms has apparently been good enough to impress some big pharma people and give me some breathing space inside the department. Which is good as I was getting hammered everywhere during the last few months.

More importantly: In an unrelated event, I got word back from my boss (my former boss, that is. ). My exile arrangements are underway.  :)

ChairmanPoo, of course, gets red underlines because their posts include technical medical terms.

Last night/this morning was probably the best fun I've had this year. :D
I doubt I'll be able to move my head tomorrow.

Got back home to discover a juvenile dove has been acquired by the one that normally wanders around my lawn. Yay!

Sitting I'm the middle of a frozen lake at -20 scanning shipwrights with sonar. I have a strange idea of fun.

Why are your shipwrights at the bottom of a lake? Are they planning to build a ship that's already sunken and thus unsinkable?

I am happy this morning because my geology instructor helped me figure out the materials we were using in our fireplace.
