Appropriately enough for this conversation, I turned 21 today. Recent events have been burdening, but today was alright.
Hooray! Heppeh berthdeh

So, Song of the Sea was pretty good. Saw it today. By the same people that did Secret of Kells.

Happy Birthday!

Also, my own happy: Despite being warm and cold in turns during the night and barely getting any sleep, I woke up today with a slightly sore but no longer permanently painful head! My throat is still sore and my nose blocked as all get out, but one step at a time.

Last night at work was very uneventful. I spent the majority of my shift daydreaming about what sort of MMORPG would be like if there was no character leveling whatsoever. Everybody began the game at the same power level they'd always be. I made a thread with a similar idea a looong time ago, but it's something I haven't visited in a long time, and it feels nostalgic somehow.

... there's a handful of MUD-type things out there like that, actually. Generally PvP, iirc.

Which, uh. Would probably be a substantial portion of your answer: An MMORPG structured around no leveling or character progression (so no equipment, either) would almost certainly be structured around human vs human conflict.

I'd probably expect it to be more action-y than most MMORPGS, too...

I remember MUDs. Getting lost in the text-based world was it's own experience.

Then I got banned for straight up raging. Good times.

EDIT: though my idea was mostly only PVE.

Here, have a trailer. It's in theaters now, but only some, so good luck finding it.

Happy: my folks came by and loaned me one of their laptops while mine is on the fritz! So I'm not as doomed as I thought!

I'm sooo ecstatic right now :D

My mother and her boyfriend went to my grandma this weekend, who lives quite far from us (for Dutch standards. Americans probably consider 120 km not really far), who lives close to my aunt. On their way back, they made a quick stop at my aunt's house. When they entered the house they were literally ambushed by a strange cat they had never seen before. My niece, who works as a veteranian assistant, had found a kitten, which was about 2 months old, at the side of the road. It was injured, dehydrated and starving, but she decided to take it with her to her work, to see if he was still savable. The vet said that the kitten was beyond salvation, but my niece still decided to take him with her. After several weeks of caring for him, he was able to walk again, and he turned out to be a really sweet cat. He always jumps on your lap when you sit, and he won't stop purring. After talking for a while, my aunt said she really wanted to keep the cat, while my uncle didn't want him, but my aunt was okay with giving it away if we would take good care of it. I've convinced my mother and I've almost convinced her boyfriend to take it :D

TL;DR: I might get another really sweet cat.

Pffft, cats. Speak to me when you have realised the superiority of dogs.

Also, why does everyone have a cat on Bay12!

Because cats are so derpy and cute, even though I love dogs too.
