So, fun party trick: Drink about half the contents of a 12 oz. soda can. Balance soda can on its bottom ridges. Can appears to be defying gravity. Those in the room who don't know about physics will be amazed.

You should probably practice this near a sink until you get it right

Actually as long as you drink over half the can and leave a little liquid in the bottom, it'll still work fine. Just don't try it with a can that's over half full.

One of the more interesting elements is that the can trick can work with any can that possesses an indented edge, regardless of size or shape outside of being a cylinder.

I know that feeling, too.  When my coworkers back then discovered I was 21, they promptly hauled me out to the nearest bar for my first drinks, at which point I basically took a sip of whatever was offered and realized that these were really, really bitter.  Even most fruity cocktails tend to have that taste underneath, no matter where I go.
