I remember, when my relationship hit the six month mark I was gushing about it, and someone said "that's not that long." Some "friends also made a bet for us lasting a very short amount of time, gambling on how long it would be. This was when I was 15. 19 years now, I think I get to count it as lasting finally.

It's a fairly long amount of time, honestly. At least compared to my relationships. Longest I've had was about 10 months, but that one was a rare exception. I've had a couple that lasted a week.

Bad things happened there, strange moods, melancholic dwarves, missing children, disturbing carvings, booze shortage, tantrum spirals, angry badgers and roaming elephants.
It's pretty telling that even though all my dwarves died (most of them violently), none of them were killed by outside "enemies", it was all inside job.

Except that melancholic dwarf. He was the last one to die and died of thirst, while standing in rain of elf blood looking at the river where that missing dead kid was who started all that madness...
