I got a top record for Samus of 1.3 feet, in Homerun Contest.
Of course I tried again 1515.0 feet the next time.

But 1.3 feet, that was awful.

Bonfire to celebrate my brother's birthday early, since it's in the middle of the week. He's turning twelve.

We didn't have any fresh marshmallows and forgot to grab some but managed to find an unopened pack with all the other misc baking stuff.

These must've been at least a year old, since they were about as chewy as calamari. But hey, with some graham-cracker and chocolate after being toasted over an open flame they were edible and fairly not disgusting.

We also ended up tossing the entire bag into the flames, so that was fun to watch them get their just desserts for being stale.

Something to note, there's a moderately wide creek (leading into a large pond/small lake) down where we had the fire. On our side, it's lightly wooded and on the other bank it has a few trees on an incline then an open grassy area where the grass gets pretty high. Because of all this nice water and grass the local population of Canadian geese was hanging about in there.

Eventually, as we got the fire going, the geese started to gather on  the top of the bank almost perfectly in a row. When we got the fire to it's highest point, almost hitting the low branch of the tree above us, all the geese just started honking. This went on for a couple minutes before they all flew off in the opposite direction. This coincided with the fire going back to it's regular height.

I feel like this was an omen of some kind.

tl;dr Brother's birthday, bonfire, crappy marshmallows being burned alive for their crimes to our taste-buds, and ominous geese.

We didn't actually MvM. We pubbed around, which is what I'll probably be doing when the wife gets home. Also, I'm making quesadillas for dinner.

Besides, I haven't played TF2 in at least a year and need to actually get the headset set up. It looks simple enough. </famouslastwords>

While I was shopping, I pulled up your recommendation list. Sadly, the only brand for sale that was actually ON your list was Turtle Beach. Ended up getting something called a "Razer Kraken", which was at least comfortable to wear.
