In some more Happies: been playing heaps of videogames including Destiny (which is okay) and Super Smash Brothers (which is great), went and saw some bands the other night, and the weather here isn't quite as shitty now as it was at first. Yay! Also I bought some new headgear, both to keep my head warm, look cool, and control my hair on windy days.

Yes. The "*New* 3DS", being dubbed by fans the "SuperDS", with Amiibo functionality built in, improved 3D (so that moving the console won't distort the screen), and a more durable hinge. Plus double shoulder buttons, and a second analog stick on the right side.
Plus the boosted CPU and computing capabilities, making it able to handle Xenoblade Chronicles, and not lag with rune factory games.

I think it was being planned for early 2015.

I heard late spring; so, mid 2015. Not sure.
Still months off from now.

2DS is stupid because it can't fit in my human-sized pockets. I'd have to wear cargo pants if I wanted to take it anywhere (and cargo pants look dumb). Even the 3DS XL will fit in my short's pockets, and that's because it has hinges. :I

I found 3 of 5 of a series called Earth's Children.

Also found a textbook from 1991 about creating compilers and interpreters. It's so old it says it came with a floppy disc with source code

Has anyone else ever had a random streak of thinking everything is wonderful and the universe is a pretty cool place, for absolutely no reason? I didn't read or watch anything lately, I just suddenly feel awesome. And it's weirding me out.

I went to the library and noticed the armchairs aligned perfectly with a building across town through the window. And for some reason this made me cry a little.

Sometimes, yes. Its weird. I get depressed immediately afterwards.

Also, Earth's Children is supposed to be a good read. Ive only read the first novel and part of the second so far, but I find it rather boring. The writing meanders freely at times.
