I got over 80s in everything except Chem and Calc, but that's only because I didn't study. 76 and 79, dunno which was which.

I also dunno if that's an A or A*, above 80.

I don't, I'm in Canada, these are my final course marks.

But I think Britain is fucked up, so they have A-Levels and such, like SATs but British.

We've got primary (4-11), Secondary (11-16), College (16-18) then uni.

College may also be referred to as Sixth form, if the referrer is posh/clever and able to put up with posh people.

Each ends in delightful exams!

You do seven years of primary school. (This is when you're really young) then go to secondary school. There, you do your GCSEs after five years. Some people leave school here, some move to a different school, some do courses, some stay at their original school. If they continued with school, they do their A levels, which is two years of exams. Usually four/three subjects, and exams for each subject at the end of the first and second years. GCSE results determine whether you are allowed to do A levels. A level results determine what university you go to, and what course you can do.

Except that I say upper and lower sixth form, and so do most people I know. And I'm not posh and clever.

Here, it's Primary (grades 1-6, sometimes to 8 ) Middle School for 7-8 if you don't do it in primary, High School/Secondary grades 9-12, and then either University or College. They're different, but on the same level, like apprenticing is on the same level. University tends towards academics, while college tends towards white-collar workers. Uni tends towards 4 year programs, college toward 2 year. But it's not set in stone, I know that Guelph (my university) has some 2 year programs, and some colleges have 4 year programs.

The ages are basically you tend to finish high school when you're 17, you might turn 18 before university starts but you might not. Work backwards from there, high school tends to start around 13 or 14, and primary around 5 or 6.

You seem to have forgotten AS levels, which are part of but can be independent from A levels.

Well, okay, you can leave school with your AS levels, but they're commonly seen as "Only half an A level."

Finally I have a new HD for my compter. This time it has 2 Terrabytes rather than 1.
Currently installing the most important stuff before I do anything else.
However I am curious of what the best Antovirus software I can get for free out there.
I am thinking of AVG since it have served me well before with little problems.
But I would want different the pros and cons of whatever can be found out there.

I've been rolling with Microsoft Security Essentials and never had a problem. It's low profile and generally stays out of the way unless there's something wrong.

Ok, British system is officially weird. In Canada the only thing taken in to account for post-secondary (college/uni) is your final grades, and which courses you took. There's no other testing aside from those normally in your classes. Descan breaks it down quite well.

Aye, ya, there's no external testing or anything like that, unless you decide to go international (in which case, you take the same tests as a national of that country) They take your extra-curricular activities, your final grades, and make sure the courses you took in high school were the pre-reqs you needed for your program, and that's it.

Well it must mean that either US universities start easier or high school goes to a much higher level.
