First of all, Goon of Fortune is a surprisingly well-crafted game, considering its principle audience is rednecks.

It made me think of that, too.

Speaking of Green Day, I had an incredibly strong feeling of nostalgia the other day when the staff at my comic store were playing the American Idiot album when I was in there... was weird hearing that album again, after liking it so much (for a brief period of time) as a kid.
And then, after I left there to walk homewards, some acoustic act in a restaurant up above street level were playing Time of Your Life, which my class had to learn back in seventh grade as our 'graduation song' or somesuch nonsense. It felt very strange indeed, hearing those in quick succession. I actually thought of posting about it in the WTF thread at the time, but forgot.

Wow. Time of your life was one of our graduation songs too, from my 8th grade year. Not really a graduation, but the point remains.

I just feel pretty good today. Went to karate, nearly passed out because I didn't drink anything all day, watching Taken for the 6th time while cuddling with my new cat.

Well, finally finished watching all of Avatar: The Last Airbender with my folks. Glad I could introduce them to a show for once, instead of the usual me watching their latest britcom or Masterpiece serial. Though to be fair, I'm responsible for getting them into Doctor Who. And I know exactly what to get my Dad for his birthday, now.

Tried watching it again a while ago, since it's without doubt the best cartoon of my childhood.
