Topic-relevant hi-jack: what is the best thing to put on toast or a sandwich to fill you up for hours? Like, so far I've been doing peanut butter and bananas before or during work or school, but I still am shaking by the end of the workday/schoolday (I refuse to pay the highway robbery cafeteria prices). Should I switch to BLT, or what?

He's right that it's the people that are fucked, not the planet.  Not like most people ever say otherwise.  Environmental awareness isn't all self-righteous fapping.  For most people, destroying/saving the environment/planet isn't meant to be taken literally.  It's just more convenient as a common-use phrase than "destroying/saving those aspects of the planet's environmental conditions and ecosystems which our civilization and possibly our species depends on to survive".  I think this is usually understood, and people who nitpick on the language are just being cheeky.  Except most don't do it for the sake of comedy.

Now I like George Carlin and miss him dearly.  I even went well out of my way to see him live once... but I really don't care what he or anyone else thinks about my interest in self-preservation.

I have no problems eating vegetarian/vegan food, I even like most of it. I just wouldn't want to eat it exclusively. Although, I don't really like eating meat if the meat still looks like the animal. So, basically, no spit-roasted pigs or ducks with the heads still attached. I would probably eat a person if the meat was presented to me in non-person-shaped form. Hannibal (the show) makes me hungry sometimes...

On another note, my uncle doesn't eat pork. Not because of any religious practices, just that he refuses to eat anything of equal or greater intelligence to a dog. Too bad pigs are the most delicious.

I've only had venison twice in my life, but it was the most delicious meat I've ever had.  And I don't have a problem with hunted meat.

I don't eat other mammals, but that's about it as far as meat eating goes. Heck, we're BBQ'ing up some shrimp tonight which should be delicious.

Not a fan of venison myself. Not to say it can't be made well, like all meat it pretty much relies on how you make it. But at it's base I don't like it as much as other meats. Which is a shame, since my dad is a hunter and we always had tons of venison around in my childhood.
