Sources: Oliver comes from Green Arrow. Xavier is the teacher of the X-Men. Xander we actually didn't pull from Buffy, we just like the name because X names are cool. Castiel is the name of an angel (I stole it from Supernatural.) Alistair is a fighter in Dragon Age, and a UFC fighter (Overeem.) Fenris is obviously mythologically based, but also comes from Dragon Age. Tristram is the name of the town in Diablo. Slade is the uberstone in DF and Deathstroke the Destroyer/the bad guy from Teen Titans. Iain is a name I pulled from several webcomics I used to read, but no longer keep up with. Maximus is, well, Maximus. Oleander and Amaranth are characters in my homebrew game. Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon, as well as a notable movie vampire. Ellis was my favorite fighter in an old fighting game (Toshinden.) Ovelia comes from Final Fantasy Tactics, she's the princess. Sage is wisdom incarnate and the best mage class from Final Fantasy games. Quinn is, of course, from Harley. Freya is a mythological badass. Aurelia is the mother of Julius Caesar.
