... he uses them, anyway. I don't recall if he ever actually commented as to whether he did or did not like swords, though.

That said, other than both being red-heads I don't really see much of a resemblance, m'self. Entirely different color scheme, and Fighter is kinda' lower resolution.

If he didn't like them, he'd be using some other weapon. This is Fire Emblem after all, where just about every noble is a skilled warrior or mage of some kind.

I'unno S, some of that eugenics stuff from the series makes me think that statement might not be entirely accurate. Some critters get stuck with things because they had a famous ancestor, not necessarily because they liked it. For all we know the guy loathes swords, but was pre-determined by genetics to only be able to use them until he promoted.

Or was going up against an axe user in that picture. This is Fire Emblem, after all. Personal likes are sacrificed to placate the wrath of the RNG.

Its implied that they wear them when they're traveling. Presumably they haven't set out yet.
