Houdini was pretty damn awesome. Even if he 90% everything he did, its still pretty damn impressive, especially for the 10% that he didn't fake.
Fun Fact: Houdini went around debunking mystics. Aurthur Conan Doyle believed that he was using his own mystical power to suppress theirs and then proceed to show they couldn't do anything while they were thus weakened.

It does, and it makes him even more awesome.
If it was false, then he was so crazy awesome then the only explanation that Doyle could come up with is that he was a powerful sorcerer.
If it was true, then he actually was a powerful sorcerer, so powerful that he went around neutralizing (and humiliating) all the most powerful mystics of the age with impunity, and so focused that he was able to use his powers to directly affect physical things (eg. the things he escaped from).

My gallbladder is came out today.  The stones were even bigger than expected, like golf balls, or something  The incision had to be made wider.  No more worrying about those things jamming up my bile/pancreatic ducts.  I also got a cool picture of my guts.  :3

Yep.  I'm trying to 100% it, but it's... really hard.

So now that's three games which my interest has been more than piqued in.

Has the humble bundle gone away?

Played a game of Dota 2 and had a player that spent the entire match calling everyone else noobs and tards. The clincher at the end was that after the game he asked for a commendation, as complete assholes do. Gave him a report instead.

Now, why is this in the happy thread?

It reminded me that commendations existed. They're pretty much the opposite of reports and you can give them to someone if you think they deserve it, and if you actually remember that they exist. Apparently over my 72 games I had racked up 30 of them. The average number that the other players in my matches have is 1 to 3.

Apparently I have been doing something right.

Discovered these guys today.
The only sad thing is that I didn't discover them in time to see them live when they played in my city today, but alas...
