Electricity bills are per kwh (kilowatt hour) used.

So yeah. The longer you have it on, the more power it consumes. :V Varying per electric device, there are those that suck a ton of 'power' to work, and there are those which only use a tiny, tiny fraction (lookin' at you, LED. :I) and becomes super efficient!
