SquareTrade actually fixed my laptop. They actually did it. They "repaired damaged plastics, reseated cables and chips, reworked solder joints, cleaned out fan and/or heat sink, replaced HDA 320GB 2.5 9 54 Dpt Oly, replaced CSE Asp 5253-BZ480 bottom..." The list goes on.

Honestly, even though I've been ragging on AC, the racing segments are really fun and seem somehow to help with Ezio's characterization.  It's sort of like a Spiderman sort of thing.  He's a young dude and inbetween killing lots of people he runs around faffing about on rooftops.  Well played, Ubisoft.  Well played.

Sounds like they replaced your hard drive. Did they back your stuff up onto the new one though?

Also Vector, while I haven't played AC2, I remember the race theme from watching someone else play it. Not a bad tune.

Also there wasn't anything to back up to the new one. JUST INCASE THEY REPLACED IT and didn't send the old one back, I backed it all up to an external then wiped every partition on the hard drive with zeroes before sending it in.

The only reason I could play the race segments was because of Venice Rooftops (Think that's what it's called).  I would do it JUST for Venice Rooftops.  I rescend one of my earlier statements on this thread, and extend it to AC2.  That game had epic music.
