Max, they're librarians. Presumably at some point they've read books. Books are full of genitalia.

It is glorious to see The Toady One get the recognition he deserves. Also, I move that we change the name of MoMA to MaGMA, and change all the displays to playable Dwarf Fortress boxes.

... every public library I've been in to date* has stocked both Piers Anthony's Firefly and copious amounts of romance novels (These two in combination are sufficient for a litmus test of the appropriate nature.). I peeked into some of the latter, in passing, and I've seen less explicit explicit fanfiction. Librarians know these things are on their shelves. They've probably read some or all of them. Each and every one are utter freaks at their core. The public facade is a facade. Have this sliver of truth.

I like libraries. Nice places to volunteer. Tend to do quite a bit of good works, all around. Dens of filth and debauchery. Some things can be perfect.

*I'll refrain from saying just how many :P

That's right. We need our dens of filth and debauchery. Think of the children! What would they do without a full catalogue of 18th century Victorian erotica?

Just had one of the best D&D encounters in recent memory. It's a 5th level gestalt game, and our foe was (we estimate) about an 8th or 9th level gestalt character on top of being a homebrewed werewolf, and he also had two shadow mastiff sidekicks. Through taking advantage of a choke point, two blasting characters, luck on dispelling a summoned creature whose CR was higher than our level, and a convenient White Raven Tactics from our lockdown crusader//knight, we managed to deal enough damage fast enough that the dude actually had to flee or risk dying (though he probably would've killed at least one of us) - we all expected that we were going to have to flee or die. All this after we insulted him over the building's intercom in order to provoke him into a fight.

Naturally, we finished this off by going on the intercom again and insulting him some more. "I'm sorry, but it turns out we underestimated the murderer. Nobody could've been prepared for his incredible skill at turning tail at the first sight of danger."

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
