Finally got around to making a video of myself playing a game. On coffee. That has shots of cappuccino in it.

The blood of mammals is red, the blood of insects is yellow, and the blood of that which is unknown is blue.
Ancient Chinese artists would never paint pictures of that which is unknown!
Some people in Malaysia bathe their babies in beer to protect them from that which is unknown.
That which is unknown can give birth ten days after being born, and is born pregnant!
That which is unknown can't drink - it absorbs water from its surroundings by osmosis!
The porpoise is second to that which is unknown as the most intelligent animal on the planet!
The colour of that which is unknown is no indication of its spiciness, but size usually is.
You burn more calories sleeping than you do watching that which is unknown.
That which is unknown can taste with its feet.
That which is unknown is actually a vegetable, not a fruit.

Playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 and enjoying it.  Been a while since I've had a decent single-player RPG to play.  Granted, the game isn't perfect and it's funny to watch the AI trip all over itself just to get into position for fights, but hey it's nice anyway.

Knuths number. Knuths number makes me happy.

Was designing a hashing algorithm using two hash tables which bounce elements between them. The first one using a normal division method to determine index and the second using multiplication with a constant and some other nifty stuff. Tried different constants between 0 < c < 1 but got too many failures, as in when it reached an infinite loop of bounces. That is, until I tried Knuths number as the constant and all of a sudden it just... works. Nearly no misses, no nothing, it just works.

I don't know who you are Knuth, but if you are alive and I ever meet you I am buying you a Guinness.

(I know I could solve the miss issue using linked lists or double hashing etc, but we are not allowed to for this assignment.)

You know why I love working holidays?

Between the workload being incredibly light, and holiday pay being a thing that's great, I got paid about $100 for reading /tg/ threads about Magical Girls, skulls for thrones of related composition, and the occasional demonic ninja superbear.

>__________>

I was paid more than that for the actual work I did, but still.
I'm going to make about $80 today, and it's going to be wall to wall madness. DX

Thanksgiving was not an unpleasant experience. My wife made an excellent meal, we had a far more scaled-down gathering than most years, and everyone was civil.

I ate with my immediate family + uncle (the only relative who visits us).  Could only stay for a couple hours and then went to work, which was a pretty normal day.

Hello!

Over the last few days, while reading the forums, Darvi's adorably cute avatars really made my day. Just seeing that cuteness and cuddliness makes me happy.

BTW, I don't recall that pink-colored avatar Skyrunner uses - is that a new one or have I simply not noticed before.

And finally, I want to send cheers to all other cute avatars, including the kittens, ponies, kittens, penguins, and kittens :) :) :) :)

Yours,

Had the chance to work in the forge for a few hours. It was hotter than hell, but it was fun.

I think it's time for me to go  into existential crisis mode.
