What is it?

Its a game that requires 4 people,
there is a series of puzzles and a timer, for each puzzle you complete, it increases the timer of one other person, if you get your puzzle wrong it decreases their time, so everyone has to do good to keep everyone in the game, once one person gets out, it's a chain reaction and everyone loses,
the point is to see how long you and your team can stay in the game

So I start up an entirely Japanese game meant to drill Kanji. This stuff is still a bit over my head but I can navigate the starting menus semi-decently. I have to enter my name, but it has to be in kana, so I think for a sec and put in:

Watched Grave of the Fireflies for the second time, this time with my mom.  She liked it.  I think, no, hope that the ending music stays with me forever.  It's haunting and amazing.

anyway, the second character modifies the third character. A small 'tsu' before a character makes a double consonant. The third and fourth characters are 'shi' and 'ya', a small ya modifies the character before it to make 'sha'.

In romaji, that's Asshaa. Long consonant, long vowel.
Pronounced like Aahshaa.

I can't fucking BELIEVE THIS.

I spent the afternoon hanging out and blasting punk/goth rock with this random 40 year old bald guy who lives around the corner from me, who said he really likes my style and attitude and wants to work with me.

I just found out that he's extremely famous, has hosted rock shows, VH1 shows, Headbanger's Ball, has a show on MTV/2, hosts a nationwide weekend rock radio program, hosted a local rock radio station in NJ and NY for years, is on 1st-name-basis with just about every major rock group in since the early 80s, met Andy Warhol, had dinner with Gary Neuman's parents when he was 19, and is pretty much a living testament to the awesomeness of every god damned kickass goth and punk band I fucking adore, most of which he's met and played with. He's in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, for fuck sake.

And he's my neighbor. And wants me to work with him.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT. I've lived here all of 3 days and I'm already involved in a rock band as a lyricist and vocalist, am getting back to playing guitar and piano, met 20 or so AWESOME people, have been partying non-stop, and am having a fucking BLAST!

I'm going to really, really like living here.
