SRW "Original Generations" was officially translated on the PS2 as "Super Robot Taisen: OG" (to avoid confusion with the "Robot Wars" franchise). OG uses original mecha, whist most of the games use licensed mech's from multiple anime series, so they have a lot of licensing hurdles for the international market.

There are also GBA versions of the OG games around (plus SRW J mentioned by Boksi), and some fan translations of a couple of other older ones are supposed to be around ... somewhere.

that was this past saturday.

Aside from our council hiring two old white dj's and all the seniors leaving an hour in to go get drunk, it was fun. partied hard till the a.m., and now I feel miserable because of how tired I am.

All this Battletech talk is making me want to dust off my old copy of Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries. And since I got my old XBOX up and running again, maybe some Mechassault while at it. I think I have Mechassault 2, so since I already beat the first one, maybe beat this one since I didn't get to.

Actually, I miss sniping other mechs with a concentrated blast of 4-8 PPC cannons from a mile or so away, as well as the classic startup sequence in the game.

With the help of 12 stitches, the raging torrent of my circulatory system is once again safely contained, and I've learned a valuable lesson about getting overzealous with my hobbies. It'll be about a week before I can type easily, which is the only penalty worse than the pain, but by some miracle I missed everything important that wasn't an artery, so there should be no permanent problems. That last part is very happy.
