I am eating my first home-cooked meal for probably, oh, the past month.

Before I'd been surviving on bananas and peanut-butter sandwiches.

Ahhhhhhh <3

Had my birthday today. It's been sunny, beautiful and full of family. I got a bunch of presents and all of the things I wished for. For the entire weekend I've been invincible.

That made me pretty happy I must admit.

Entire laundry backlog completed! All gone! There was stuff at the bottom of the bin that must have been in there since 2009.

Slight downside: I've now got too much clean clothes, duvet covers and other textile-y stuff to fit it all in the closets and drawers, even after trashing the useless and unsalvagable. I guess that's what you get when you rather buy new than taking the effort to put the slightly used into the washing machine. Maybe I'll do a triage and put some of it in the clothes donation thingie by the grocery store.

I long ago ran out of space for all of my clothes and such.  My laundry scheme relies of some percentage being in the hamper at any time.  I find myself buying or stealing more hangers every couple months, even though I never buy any clothes.  Weird.

Also hey, Vester's back, and lots of birthdays.  What a cool day.

I recently have come to the realization that I am exactly where I thought I'd be in life.

Seriously, had you gone to my past self in third grade and told me what I'd grow up to do for a living, no surprises at all would be had.

You know what would be crazy annoying? If Vester and Vector switched avatars. Because the names aren't close enough already.

I still haven't got the faintest clue on what i should be doing or what i want to do or what i want at all but i guess it's for the best that way since my plans and expectations have a way of blowing up in my face X)

I just spent most of the weekend reading Mafia games. Next time a Beginner's Mafia game starts, I'm probably going to join.

Half of the Meat Shield ability I just wrote: "Additionally, any time the warrior is winning a grapple, he adds half his opponent's size to his physical defense, and any attacks aimed at him that miss may hit his opponent if they still beat that opponent's physical defense. The warrior can gain the same benefit from a corpse without needing to win a grapple check, but must carry the corpse, and it takes damage and is destroyed just as normal for attacking an object."

This makes me happy, because I am a terrible person.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Want a good laugh? USA is airing an NCIS Cyber-crimes Marathon. Let's see just how hard we can facepalm at their methods of solving, or explaining, a case.

In this episode, MMORPGs are central to the case.

It makes sense. Do you have rules for carrying multiple corpses?
