Heh, mostly the same, but I also develop a mental image of their real selves. Is it strange that I seem to attach two mental images onto people?

Of course this is one issue I worry about, that people will judge me by my avatar... But I've had it for nearly half my life, and I'm attached to it, even if I feel it's a little childish.

One thing that makes me feel better though is when someone pointed out "I think the snakes are in love" ♥

I don't quite know what BL stands for here but I can see the context well enough to get the idea.

 I should probably go back to Mr. Golden Helmet, I have a theory that our posting behavior is slightly changed by what image we associate with ourselves. Granted most of this was based around me being a BLUH BLUH HUGE MOD BITCH on the Minecraft Forums, but it's a thing that I'm not opposed to working with.

Oh, haha.  BL is Boys' Love.  It just means a fluffy romance between two dudes.

And no, I was speaking in context of pairings with Cloud, where I think that pretty much anything goes (the normal thing to do if you're a shipper is to kill off whichever girls you think stand in the way of your One True Pairing.  ... Wouldn't it be easier to just have them dump him in succession or something?).  I generally don't find vidya game chicks very attractive.

I have recently turned in my 2-weeks at my job. I've been getting so stressed out at work, and it's fluctuating schedules sometimes (while not getting enough hours as it was anyway), that I couldn't get my freelancing going at a good enough pace, along with the fact that there was also going to be mandatory training that would kinda keep me working there for another half-year under those conditions (with a new system, the time being essentially a minimum to make it worth their time and funds to train me the additional amount). I've also been working there for close to 3 years, and I'm not much for sticking around a single job (at least like that) for too long.

At least overtime I've been putting in more practice with my skills and expanding my portfolio even more to make getting new work less difficult. Fortunately, I also currently have a good client that will pay off in due time. While I wait for that to come, I should still qualify for filing my unemployment, provided I keep finding work to report that I'm still eligible to collect.

For what it's worth, at least I've prepared for leaving work for awhile anyway as it was. It just seemed like a good time to turn in. Just as well, I'm finding more work already. Seems to be working out. I'll be out of there by next week. When I got around to that decision, it felt like a great weight was lifted off of me, and I've been in a better mood since then. At least everyone around me has noticed a 'night and day' difference in me almost immediately.

 And I kinda get what you mean by the MGS4 thing. Otacon acts like he just got out of an abusive relationship for the rest of the game, and the closest Snake gets to being a friend is having a camera in his eyepatch so he can watch their daughter while he kills people.

 Oh, and things somehow get weirder and weirder. Part 18 is when I start to question if Kojina cracked and stopped taking things so seriously anymore.

I'm a lot more ticked off about the Beauties, mostly because I feel bad when thinking about them because they tell their story in such a cruddy way. You can't just tell us their sorry past in a codec call after they they to kill us, give us a sexy dance, try to dryhump you to death then do a magical girl transformation sequence. It's worse than giving a side character who is about to undertake a suicide mission a kid who has cancer. Trying to bullshit us to care just pisses me off.

Well, yeah.  The weird thing is all the horrible sex happening in this game.  It's like "Would you like a side order of molestation with that molestation?"

The overt stuff doesn't bother me, really.  It's the subtle stuff, where it isn't super-clear as to what's going on but you can just feel that it's all shot to hell--and even more insidious because one (I, at least) can start to wonder how much other folks are sitting there, going "Oh, Otacon's finally getting some."

Just so much disgusting.  So much.
