Well, I couldn't say nicest. Its in the same vein as 'no matter how good you are at it, someone else is always better than you.'

But the niceness dropped a lot after I joined and Vector started to post less often...

Really?  I've been checking on Life Advice every once in a while, and there's still absolutely no bullshit happening in there.  People are courteous and respectful.  I haven't seen any flame wars, and folks are still really responding to each other in the sad thread instead of ignoring each other the way they used to.

The ribbing seems like it's mostly good-natured, perhaps mildly sarcastic, but I really haven't seen people being vicious or hurtful here, or even rude--and I've been exploring a lot of other places online.  Even ones that I thought would be mostly okay have horrible things going on unchecked.

This is a really great place to be, still.  Really great! :I

That's why I said one of the nicest, rather than "the nicest" =)

But I'm not a nice person. And putting fakelinks in my posts doesn't help :3

Also, you're going to Germany? That's just a stone throw away from here.

Of course, for those of us not using Darkling (which does not include me), that doesn't really work as well.

Yes, it's rather unfortunate, but it's funny for those that do.

And anybody who doesn't use Darkling is a loser :P

Think of it as being like Webadict. You may never match him, but you can be a poser and pretend to match him.

Not yet, but there's a fairly good probability that I'll be there (or Russia, or Austria, or France) the entire summer after this one to teach English and take literature courses.

There is very good possibility that I will be in Russia for two weeks this summer.

For the teaching stay, I intend to bother the good people of B12 who might like to have a little in-person visit while I'm in Europe, provided that I can get from wherever I am to wherever I need to be and back within the weekend.

Lucky! That is, Lucky everyone who gets to meet the embodiment of awesome.
Just a guess, but I can assume you are currently on the US east coast, Vector?
