It's a weird slang term for something going really wrong.
Well, it's supposed to come from hot air balloons.  It's pretty bad when one of those goes pear shaped, and I guess the mental image stuck.
That one makes sense.
My grandfather told me it comes from doing loops in the RAF if the loop has gone wrong it's shaped like a pear, so they'd tell the pilot "No good, it went pear shaped, try again".

In other news another forgotten beast has wandered into my fort:

The Forgotten Beast Risa Retesanene has come!  A great scaly chinchilla.  It has a pair of squat antennae and it undulates rhythmically.  Its dark olive scales are large and close-set.  Beware its poisonous vapors!

Yes you read that correctly, it's a deadly scaled poison breathing chinchilla.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I'm more worried about the other forgotten beast, but it's breath could be a problem... Fortunately I plan to go in with some 20 odd dwarves with the best gear I can trade for.
EDIT: Actually that one seems to have buggered off... Also I edited in the antenna which I forgot about.

The real threat is how adorable it looks when it holds the dwarves in its tiny little hands while it gnaws on them.

The real threat is how adorable it looks when it holds the dwarves in its tiny little hands while it gnaws on them snuggles into them and dissolves their flesh with its corrosive breath, then drinks the sludge.
Fix'd.

Yes we cannot forget the adorably delicious dwarves.

This guy made me laugh and smile.  One on every streetcorner please.
This reminds me of a rather old political cartoon which I really wish I could find, basically it was two panels:
On panel 1 we have Thedore Roosevelt, he is saying "We have nothing to fear but fear itself."
On panel 2 we have George Bush, he is saying "Be afraid, be very afraid!"

I like this man, and what he has to say. He handled the mall police beautifully too, as well as the terrorism thing.

I always figured it was because pear-shaped things spin all wobbly, so it could have come from any number of spinning-related things.

At least it has skin.  Sometimes they don't, and that'd just be weird man.

Question: Why does that guy look more like a Trucker then a Pokemon trainer?

I'm now kinda imagining a trucker smashing into a pokemon with his truck and nearly killing it then raising it back to health. Or something like that.

So maybe a cast of mutilated bug and deer Pokemon?

Weren't there Truckers in one game or another?  I know there were sailors.  I always though the Hikers looked more like Truckers really, with the trucker-hats and vests and giant beer-bellies.

And that girl-trainer looks like a total tramp.  Daisy-dukes and glam hair, what the fuck.  I know it's called "Black & White", but I didn't think it'd actually have hicks for player characters.
