Note: Yes, that is water clinging onto the cieling. Internal pressure reached up to 7-8 PSI. Internal temperatures: 1200 degrees Celsius. The pot melted at 800 degrees Celsius. Took a minimum of 5 minutes to get the burner that hot, yet surprisingly, the burner didn't melt first.

Related: got to talk to my old high school chemistry teacher, who had aged a lot over the past three years, but had gotten quite a bit wiser as well.  He gave me some good advice, and I got him to smile a little and act a bit like his younger self.
