The "I never intended to make friends here" bit. So were you just some random troll who decided to tag along after a while?

No, I just didn't want to have online friends. Online friends can just disapear without a trace. I didn't originally want to troll but the grammar nazism I saw on the forums pissed me off enough to do so.

I was REALLY sick of grammar nazism.

So why attempt to troll here? Do we look like Nazis?

iirc we never were.

Anyway, I'm happy because I just learned that all the buses leaving from school can take me home in about 50 minutes. Some require a good deal of walking (20 minutes tops), but I'm not constrained to their silly schedules anymore.

20 minutes of walking is a short stroll. When dealing with bus schedules that take two hours to get one home 20 minutes of walking is a godsend for getting 30 minutes cut from the bus ride.

Ah well, I'm not used to walking from bus stops, or riding buses at all. Last year the school was about 20 minutes away on foot, they just *had* to move to the other side of the city.
How long do you guys walk?

If I don't have time for anything else, I make sure to walk at least about 1-2 hrs a week. School is about an hour or more on foot, so I really need to commute.

30 minutes to get to the the bus stop in the morning, another 30 to get home, sometimes I need to walk to a metro station in the afternoon which takes 45 minutes. Can't bring a bike because a required bus doesn't take bikes.

Aye, that sucks. Bus stops are about 5 minutes apart out here, do you live out of town or something?

My house is two and a half miles away from the nearest metro station. I could just walk faster, but with a backpack and pavement I would quickly get shinsplints and walking for the rest of the day would be difficult. So I take my walks slowly. I could probably get there in 20 minutes.

And the issue isn't so much being out of town(I'm within the Beltway, you can't be any more in the city) so much as this being the quickest way of getting to my college. Going to a closer bus stop would mean taking two transfers instead of one.

I just realised something. In A.D.O.M you'll probably never want to hurt a cat, however, in Dwarf Fortress you'll probably NEED to kill the cats.

I guess i'm really lucky then, after i moved my school is like 200 meters from my building, my sister goes to the one across the road, so really even if i want to i can't be late.

On the topic of happiness, generaly feel good, saw some really nice weather effects at school (Like a skyscraper(well not really, but it's the tallest thing around here) bathed in soft orange light of the setting sun with a flock of birds circling the radio tower at the top, all to the background of dark gray, soft and puffy clouds)

Edit:
Also this: Always look on the bright side of life
