I don't know if you're being sarcastic or what. Mythology is more valid than Science Fiction? Because it's...older, I guess?

And I'm just taking it for fun anyway. Well, OK, and to understand the genre better in case I ever get around to all that writing I mean to be doing.

You confuse me Duke.

Trying to crack a joke on the various college courses that seem more fun that academic. Granted if you really enjoy something like math a math course would be more fun than work, but specifically classes along the lines of "How to play games" or "How to cheat on classes." and stuff.
 Bluh bluh I joke terrible.

Just know that if I ever seem harsh on somebody for no real reason it's probably me late at night thinking of a crack.

We can only dream. Although there was the one liberal arts college with a course featuring Portal as one of their main studies, so anything is possible.

I finished building my masterpiece of a siege engine. It is a rotary platform housing two ballistae, a trebuchet, and two side arm catapults. The ballistae are stacked on top of each other, the side arms attached to the side of their frames, and the trebuchet extends off the back of it. When the bolts fire, it lets the trebuchet arm drop and also pulls the pins on the catapults, creating a sudden zone of what top scientists are calling 'holy fuck that burns'.

Oh dood, I loved Science Olympiad! What event was that for? It sounds new.

I remember we had an event which my brother built a Trebuchet for, to launch a tennis ball as accurately as possible. I was always more inclined for the Lab and Knowledge based events, like Astronomy or Orienteering, though I did build an Energy-Exchanging Rube Goldberg Machine that was awfully fun one year. I still have my old medals from Regional and State Competitions in a box somewhere... those were good times!

My Ancient History teacher back in school told me to try Spellforce 1.

I'm currently trying Spellforce 1.

So far, it doesn't seem as good as 2 overall, but some ideas are awesome. I'm surprised nobody's copied them yet.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I can't tell if you're a spambot or not. Quick, confirm your sentience!

Also, TV Tropes is upgrading. Is anyone else excited? I'm excited.

Hoping for some sort of death laser.

I actually have a couple medals from Science Olympiad, and I'm going back again this year. I never heard of an event to make badass siege engines though.

Even if it doesn't win, it'll definitely be the most awesome thing there.

Incidentally, I'm now trying to spell "definitely" right.  Since I've probably misspelled it hundreds of times on these forums.

Gods, I twitch every time someone types "definately". Or "lead" instead of "led" for the past tense of "lead". Seriously, I'm beginning to doubt the surety of my spelling.

Adbot is fighting TropeTan for control of the DarthWiki.

Apparently, she won.

OR DID SHE?
