My mom is calling an animal shelter as we speak right now.
We'll be having a cat again soon.

After not having one for half a year (and having at least one at any given time for many years before that), I'm really excited to finally have a pet like that again.

Well, from what I was told, they don't really have any cats available for giveaway right now (except a 15-year-old behemoth of a cat), but they'll be keeping us updated, and apparently there's this one lady with 4 kittens she raised all on her own, which is mildly promising, but she's wary of giving one to us because they aren't of the "garden wanderer" variety and is afraid that they'd get themselves into a nasty situation that way.

...I think that's BS but whatever, I'd rather prefer a cat that stays home myself honestly, even if I absolutely hate cleaning the litter box.

I've got as close to a zoot suit as I could get with my dad's old suits. Also have a fedora and awesome brown slacks

Ha, that sounds great.  I wish I had an excuse like that to wear a fedora.
I'm glad you're going, despite the issues.  It's really not a big deal at all, but I've found that a lot of people who didn't go to prom tend to regret it later.  Even though they really shouldn't.  That's culture for you...
