I know there was one more recently, though. Between Caroline and Orange Wizard.

If I were to change my name it would only be to fix the capitalization.

I changed it because I was somewhat unsatisfied with it. I chose Deathsword five years ago, when I was a teenager and had just spent an entire week in a hospital bed. I was full of teen angst back then and truth be told I find that to be a slightly annoying reminder of a very unpleasant part of my life.

Uh. I had my first shiny encounter today. I was walking through a cave to get to my Secret Base, then boom, sparkles in my face. I was, and still am, really happy about that. I always get shinies through WT.

Feeling really good, for maybe the first time in a month or more. Got a bit of a drizzle earlier, and everything smells like water and earth and flowers. Got some new contract work brewing, and finally tracked down a delinquent client. Personal projects are doing well, and I'm SO CLOSE to a public first-playable Alpha of a pet project I've been planning and fussing over for years. The Lost Vikings are in Blizzard's new MOBA, in stark contrast to all their melodramatic WoW/Diablo/Starcraft crap; controlling 3 characters at once is every bit as absurd, unwieldy, and fun as I could have hoped.

Most of all, it feels really good to have folks that know how to be a good friend to someone back in my life... and for maybe the first time in my life, having the emotional energy to offer those friends in return. I didn't even know how badly I've missed that.

Seriously, that point where you are so exhausted and detached that you stop caring about anything, only have a week before you leave the job anyways, and allow yourself to unleash your inner asshole when someone keeps trying to un-subtly bully you into bending reality to suit their whims? Nirvana. Pure bliss.
