Real life has finally calmed down enough for me to remember this place. That itself is a happy. And, though I'm like a week late apparently... do mine eyes deceive me? Is the new version of DF actually out? *checks* ...Multiple versions got released while I was gone, apparently. Dear god.

If anyone actually remembers me that'll be a happy too, but otherwise, I'll go back to mostly lurking

Messed around with some of the lag culprits: stale activities, enemy detection, over-active food consumption logging, and so on. Doubled the speed of the test save, but it's hard to say how it'll transfer in general, though the fixed trouble spots would come up in every fort with lots of dwarves.

Df 40.13+ confirmed for 2 times faster, at least, if you take into account that Toady's test rig is pretty subpar.
