That is glorious.

I'm still screwing around with the site claim and new combat system for adv. mode. It is absolutely joyous to lop of a king's head in one fell swing, then fling it out the door and watch the entire marketplace weep as I proclaim myself lord of The Fantastic Urges.

I found out that the word "Wormy" is literally one of the most fun words to say. Try it. Wormy.
I was always fond of "appendectomy".

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

New sneaking is also great. I beheaded two goblins in a camp without them getting a single shot at me.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Apparently when you retire and unretire a fort, some dwarves have too much time on their hands. The yaks and dogs were clothed as well.

Wonziu/Maciej Makuła (Vonzay), a Polish YT/Twitch "celebrity" has started playing Dwarf Fortress again, in 40.01.
I am a happy man, and I have to visit his stream again sometime.

I'm imagining a dwarven version of a dapper kitty.
We've had a dapper donkey in DF before, this must presumably be the return of the dapperness bug

I cooked up some egg-fried rice!

Despite uh... Suboptimal tools and some spillage of ingredients, the final result was tasty and filling for a lunch. So I'm pretty happy about that, considering it was my first time cooking that.

So I saw the football game yesterday. I'm not a big sports fan and the game was pretty boring, since Brazil totally lost it after the first goal and then it was just like a training game with no stakes at all. However the bar we ended up in had the glorious idea to give out free shots for every German goal...which means I had 5 shots in 20 minutes and another 2 later. They had probably figured that 2:1 would be a decent result, but it went 7:1. Combined with the approximately 15 beer (judging from the emptiness in my wallet) I was slightly wasted for a weekday. People went nuts after the game and I almost had to fight off a horde of relatively attractive fangirls from hugging me constantly (didn't try very hard though). So public viewing experience 9/10, would do again.

Me and my roommates are getting two kittens soon!

Four cats might be enough cats. We'll see.
