I'd ask on the upper-forums but I appearing to be out of the loop more then being so: what is "It was inevitable" a reference to? Is it in the game (haven't had the opportunity to play)?

NPCs also seem to say it a lot.

So I enjoy making arena fights with literally thousands of combatants, so the logical conclusion was to try one with the morale system in play in the new version.

I don't understand how can anyone fail to appreciate pointless dialogue. I find it gives the game almost lyrical feeling, when playing, I imagine my character is surrounded by zen masters, stoically commenting the absurd events of the world with puzzling remarks, full of hidden meanings.

There are enough scripted games full of simple archetypes and cheap drama. However, a bandit leader frightened of himself who climbs onto the highest tree in a futile attempt to flee from himself, finally losing grasp and falling to his death, that is very Kafka-esque and deeply poetic.

I wish somebody made an old-looking, black and white silent movie depicting this event, with large texts instead of speech.

I cooked up some egg-fried rice!

Despite uh... Suboptimal tools and some spillage of ingredients, the final result was tasty and filling for a lunch. So I'm pretty happy about that, considering it was my first time cooking that.

Grandparent taught me the most incredible trick for making egg rice. Just... crack the eggs open. Do the little stirry thing. And pour 'em right into the rice as it's cooking. Egg rice! Is verra nice. Ridiculously easy to cook.

These new DF dialogue options are freaking awesome.

Just the fact that you can randomly declare your opinion of the weather is awesome to me for some reason.

Also unarmed combat is so much more fun now, I think I've only used a weapon maybe twice so far.

I found unarmed combat different (obviously) so I just continued using weapons.


In what way is its awesomeness shown?

I keep punching people after my first strike with a weapon. So I guess I'm doing a lot of unarmed combat too now.

Well, I guess less unarmed and more wrestling.

The fact that gouging eyes now causes them to be shredded to gore (and actually properly blind them now) is an excellent way of disabling people now that tripping isn't overpowered so much anymore.
