Yeah, friend of mine plays amateur league pokemon. So I know way too much about IV's and EV's for someone who hasn't played anything past Ruby.

I once saw a shiny Ponyta, but it fainted before I could catch it.

They are advocating the doctrine of signatures as a way to eat healthily. They are also advocating the Bible as a healthy eating guide. There is maybe some useful stuff there, but not the stuff they're referring to.
