I was expecting a constant backjumpslide (whatever that move is called that you seen in a lot of castlevania tas). That was much quieter a movement.

Just called backdash, usually. You might appreciate the dawn of sorrow ones, too, if quieter is preferred.

Its less a actual preference and more a 'The backdash noise is missing!' thought when I could actually hear the music clearly in a castlevania tas.

Started a new game of Tales of Symphonia.  This is the third playthrough for me or something. . . this time I'm really enjoying the character design more than I have before.  We walked outside the schoolroom and everything just looked good.  Kousuke Fujishima is a god, is all I'm saying.

... I need to play that game again sometime. It's one of those ones that's partially defined how I think of good video games, and it got there without nostalgia value. 'S a beautiful thing. Wish I still had the ol' Gamecube.

First night in my truck. I think it's just now hitting me that yes, I am now a solo driver, and this will be my home for the next few months at least. Still learning all there is to know about it, but all my stuff is in here and I've got to make the most of it.

I also seriously need to start a trucking thread so I'm not constantly posting about this stuff elsewhere >_>

I mean, it's not like the plot is good or something.  It's just so incredibly well put together that it's pretty become the Ur-Old Skool JRPG (well, other than perhaps Lufia 2).

There's something about Lufia 2 that just works.  Again, incredibly cliche plot, some crappy things about it... but something just clicks.
